Well in actual fact, if I think about it, I guess that in many ways, it’s fairly important, particularly when it comes to the matter of showing my professionalism at work or my respect to other people in different situations. Although I am not a slave to fashion and don’t really follow up – to – the – minute garments, I always tend to play importance on choosing my clothes.

What different clothes do you wear for different situations?
As I have mentioned previously, the most essential criteria for me to choose clothes is the situation. I would say that at work, formal garments like sleeved shirts, long skirts and trousers in neutral or pastel color are usually my first choice. However, at usual life, something that is more casual and jazzy such as jeans, leggings, T-shirt and sneakers often makes me feel more comfortable. When it comes to party, I always have to choose dresses that enable me look hot and turn head but show my elegance at the same time.

Do you wear different styles of clothes now compared to 10 years ago?Well obviously my choices for clothes have changed significantly for the past 10 years. I guess the reason lies mainly in the fact that 10 years ago, I was a student and most of the time, I wore uniforms. However, now that I have come to the business world, my clothes tend to be way more formal and professional.
Do you think the clothes we wear say something about who we are?To some extent I would say that clothing in general often help people to make the first impression on other people. Dressing smartly in suitable situation would bring the sense of politeness and elegance. However, it is not one hundred percent true because I always consider that the most beautiful clothes a person can wear is their soul and confidence and clothes is just a tool supporting you to reflect the truly inner side of yourself

Band 8.0 Sample Answer
To begin with, I’d like to get cracking by pointing out what type of clothes it is, and I have to go for the hooded sweatshirt which my mother gave me as a gift on my 18th birthday.
In fact, it is not only an often – worn item, but also becomes something old for me since it was a gift in my turning age of 18 milestone. This piece of clothes is in deep ocean blue and with unique black polka – dot, which is a perfect fit for my bright tone of skin. Its zip is made of pure bronze bringing a sense of comfort whenever I open or close it. The thing that also makes it so special is the large pockets attached on two sides of the shirt enabling me to store a myriad of odds at my own convenience.
To say the truth, this sweatshirt fits me like a glove and I always enjoy the comfortable feeling when I wear it. Therefore, I have used it like a thousand times and still can’t get enough of it. It is also a reminder of how my mother love and care for me in every aspects of life. Although it has become a little worn – out now, I still keep it as a precious memory in my teenage years.

In manufacturing factories, for instance, it is not unusual to see for a people in labour clothes with preventive caps, gloves and shoes…whether he is a worker or a manager, all have to comply with the strict rules. Let’s turn to the corporate world, here employees are also required to follow a formal dress code like suits, shirts, or long skirts…all is for the purpose of maintaining the company’s professional image or enhancing productivity and safety among the workforce.

When a group of people are in a unified dress code, that means there is barely any distinctions in their clothes. Therefore, I am of the opinion that there is a low chance that people would be mistreated when they all wear the same garments. That explains why nowadays, a myriad of companies are encouraging or ordering their staff to wear uniform in order to enhance their productivity.

Well I suppose there are quite a few benefits obtaining from uniforms for children, one of them is that it eliminates economic inequalities and reduce the competition among students for showing off stylish clothes. Parents would need not shop for expensive wardrobes of their children. At the same time, the second bonus might be that there will be less distraction at schools and children will not strive to keep up with the fashion trends but focusing on their main duty – studying

This is your best chance to impress the examiner with a myriad of uncommon vocabulary and idioms.
